Mashable’s Samantha Mangino has been sitting in on the live recording of the Haliey Welch’s Talk Tuah podcast:

It’s chaos at the live recording of the Talk Tuah podcast at VidCon. The recording session at Spotify’s Podcast Theater starred hosts Haliey Welch of Hawk Tuah meme fame and her co-host Chelsea Bradford.

Podcast guest Whitney Cummings seemingly stepped in as a guest host, asking Welch most of the questions.

The packed crowd started off the recording by chanting “Hawk Tuah” but things quickly took a turn when Cummings repeatedly told the crowd to quiet down using expletives. The mood dampened in the room, and there was a noisy commotion as dozens left the recording less than 20 minutes into the session.

As another group of people just left Whitney Cummings encouraged they group (mostly made of young men) to “not become school shooters.”

When asked by a fan about the late-2024 launch of her cryptocurrency that cost investors millions and sparked a lawsuit, Welch said, “Does this look like the face of a girl who could talk to you about crypto?”

Welch remarked that if the crypto scam had happened to a man then it would have gone over differently and he “probably would have been promoted.”
