Choosing Faith Over What We See

Living the Truth of 2 Corinthians 5:7
This short verse packs a punch. 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us of a foundational truth for every believer: we’re called to live by faith, not by what we see right in front of us. That’s hard sometimes, isn’t it? Life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and even scary. Our eyes show us the problems bills, sickness, conflict, loss. But faith tells us there’s more to the story.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)
Walking by faith means trusting in God’s promises even when our circumstances scream otherwise. It’s choosing to believe that He’s working behind the scenes, even when nothing seems to be changing. It’s standing firm on His Word when emotions are shaky and the path forward is unclear.
Faith isn’t about ignoring reality it’s about seeing past it. It’s about knowing that God is greater than what we can comprehend. It’s choosing to lean on His character, His faithfulness, and His love, even when we don’t feel it or see the evidence yet.
So today, remind yourself: you’re not called to figure it all out. You’re called to trust. One step at a time. Keep walking not by what you see, but by who you know God to be.
